Kaleigh Howland

Kentucky raised. Los Angeles based.

Kaleigh grew up in Kentucky, where she graduated high school at 16 years old. She’s trained in acting, musical theatre and dance since age 6. Kaleigh continues to dance and sing, but has since made acting her discipline. She is indebted to the Certificate Acting Program at the College Conservatory of Music Preparatory Department for teaching her discipline and giving her the courage to be seen in her formative years.

She graduated from Indiana University Bloomington, earning degrees in Theatre & Drama and Journalism. She learned from emerging playwrights and directors and collaborated with her fellow students, including directing three musicals written by Lauren Gaynor. In her senior year, she earned the top award from the Bloomington Chapter of the National Society for Arts and Letters and went on to place third at their national acting competition that same year.

Kaleigh values crafting stories told with trust in our shared humanity: in the belief that nothing human is foreign. She knows that when we make space for our own messy inner world, we create space to know another’s. And that then perhaps something wonderful can happen.

You can find Kaleigh emphatically discussing the latest film she can’t stop thinking about, reading every book the library lends her, or letting it all go at hot Yoga.

She’s currently living and learning in Los Angeles.
